Maang Dodem Orange Shirt

The Loon dives and sees all of the happenings inside the water.  Loon Clan are known as the inside chiefs and are responsible for settling disputes and issues within the community. We watch to ensure things are done in the right way, and work with the Crane Clan to make sure the right decisions get made for all members of the community.  
 
This year's Orange Shirt Day print features our Loon Clan. This collaboration combines the talents of my artist Kyla Kwandibens (my cousin) and James from Nish Tees (me).  Kyla has created several books detailing the indigenous plants and animals of northern Ontario and I love their work!
