We Are All Treaty People Tee
Treaties Recognition Week is November 1st - 7th, 2026.
This week is meant to honour the importance of historic and modern treaties, educate students and residents on treaty rights and relationships, and to build understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. Ontario is covered by more than 40 treaties and agreements signed between 1781 and 1930 (along with modern agreements), meaning everyone in the province is a "treaty person".
This was a design created by Nish Tees in early 2019. The earthy tones and flecks of the garment and print remind us of the land on which we must all inhabit and coexist. Get the conversation started by wearing this opening statement...!
